Non Pressure Compensating Drippers

A less expensive dripper that can be used when the elevation of all drippers on a single pressure regulating valve (a zone) are within 1 to 10 feet of the same elevation. (for applications where the elevation varies more than 10 feed see our Pressure Compensating Drippers)

Good for level fields, vineyards, nurseries and small gardens. Water pressure will change 1psi for every 2.31 feet of elevation change. So 10 feet of difference between your first dripper and last dripper would be a difference of 4.33psi just due to elevation change.

That could be as much as 125 gallons difference for each dripper during a season depending on which dripper is used. Friction loss in the pipe/hose delivery system would also effect the pressure difference, and thus the flow rate out of each non pressure compensated dripper.
